The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has assigned to the Ministry of Economy the responsibility for ensuring the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of critical infrastructure protection.
This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada.
On 5 December 2022, the law came into force, according to which the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine is to perform the functions of the authorised body for the protection of Ukraine's critical infrastructure during martial law, as well as within 12 months after its termination or cancellation.
The Law of Ukraine on Mobilisation provides that employees of critical infrastructure enterprises subject to military service, as well as officials, teachers and scientists, are entitled to a deferment from the army.
