Suspected Pentagon leaker Jack Teixeira faces formal charges
He claimed that Russia and Ukraine should not be at war because they have "more in common than what divides them"
Jack Teixeira, who is suspected of a large-scale leak of classified documents to US intelligence, was formally charged in a court in Boston, Massachusetts.
In particular, he was accused of unauthorized removal, storage and transmission of classified information.

21-year-old Teixeira, a member of the US Air National Guard, was detained the day before in Massachusetts. The Washington Post reported, citing one of Teixeira's friends, that he began publishing secret documents in February in a closed chat on Discord.
Teixeira has been fond of military affairs since childhood and showed interest in everything related to it.

According to court documents, the suspect, Jack Teixeira, was worried that he would be caught copying documents at work, so he started taking them home, another participant in the online Discord chat told the FBI.
Teixeira "started taking documents to his home and taking pictures of them" because he was afraid of getting caught.
The leaks included photos of crumpled documents lying on top of magazines and surrounded by other random objects such as bags and glue.
A source told CNN that the documents looked like they had been hastily folded and stuffed into a pocket.
