SkyUp Airlines aircraft are operating in Sudan under an ACMI contract with Sun Air. Since the beginning of 2023, they have operated flights to Cairo (Egypt), Riyadh, and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
As reported, on April 15, fighting unexpectedly broke out in Sudan between special forces and army units. The clashes started in the capital Khartoum and several other cities.
The contradictions that took place between different security forces of the African country escalated into an open armed confrontation.
It was reported that the parties were using heavy weapons, and thick smoke was rising over Khartoum. In addition, clashes were reported in the cities of Umdurman, Bahri and Marawi.
