Chinese components are increasingly found in russian weapons
There are fewer and fewer Western-made components, but more and more Chinese ones

More and more components from China are being found in russian weapons, said Vladyslav Vlasiuk, a senior adviser to the Presidential Office who advises the head of the presidential administration on sanctions policy.
Source. This was reported by Reuters.
Ukraine's armed forces continue to "find various electronics" in (russian) weapons recovered from the battlefield, Vlasiuk said.
"The trend now is that there are fewer and fewer Western-made components, and it's easy to guess which components are increasingly used. Of course, Chinese components," he said.
Intelligence gathered by Ukrainian experts on the battlefield claims that Chinese-made components were found in the navigation system of Orlan drones, which previously used Swiss components.
Experts also reported the discovery of Chinese parts in the fire control system of russian tanks, which previously used French-made parts.
"We find many different things made in China," Vlasiuk added.
In response to a Reuters inquiry, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "Throughout history, China has established normal trade cooperation with all countries, including russia, on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. Regarding the export of military goods, China has always taken a reasonable and responsible stance. China's position and actions have always been like this."
Background. Meanwhile, Hong Kong and China reportedly provided russia with $570 million worth of U.S. chips after the invasion began.
