The gambling industry paid 450 million hryvnias in taxes to the state budget in April
In March, this amount was 25 million hryvnias less

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, the First Deputy Head of the Committee on Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada and member of the Holos faction, announced that 452 million hryvnias of taxes from the gambling industry were received by the budget in April.
"This is significantly better than before, but considering the National Bank's data on the volumes of the illegal market, it's still not enough. We will investigate," he said.
Background: Last month, the deputy said that the budget received 423.5 million hryvnias in taxes from the gambling industry in March. This amount is twice as much as for the whole of 2021 and 60% of what was received in 2022.
