The commander of the 501st Brigade forced 277 marines to surrender – investigation
He defected to the enemy during the encirclement of Mariupol and sent his troops to the DPR

The commander of the 501st Brigade forced 277 marines to surrender.
This is reported by the SBI (State Bureau of Investigation).
Detectives have established that the head of the rear services of the 501st Independent Marine Battalion colluded with the russians and persuaded the brigade commander to surrender. The traitor urged the commander to cease defensive actions, surrender weapons and personnel. The battalion soldiers received orders to relocate, but in reality, they were transferred to the DPR.
The SBI decided to close proceedings against 277 servicemen of the 501st Separate Marine Battalion suspected of desertion. This gives authorised bodies grounds to restore the violated rights of the captive marines regarding payments to their relatives.
The bureau adds that the collaborator continued his treacherous activity even after this diversion in Mariupol – he is encouraging defenders of Ukraine to switch sides and provide him with information about the location and resources of the Ukrainian defence forces for the reward.
