Macron announces the creation of a register of damage caused to Ukraine by Russian aggression
He called on all states to join the development of this register

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced the creation of an international "register of damages" caused to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
Source. This was reported by AFP with reference to the president's statement at the Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik.
The register will contain information on losses and claims for compensation. The list will be available to individuals and legal entities, as well as the Ukrainian authorities, including state-owned or state-controlled enterprises.
Macron called on all states to join the development of this register. He also called on the Council of Europe to help create 100 psychological centers to help victims of Russian aggression.
Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the creation of the registry would be a real mechanism of compensation for Ukraine.
"I think we will make a real step towards finding a mechanism of compensation for the atrocities committed by Russia in Ukraine. This is only the first step. We have to create a compensation mechanism. And eventually there should be a tribunal for the crimes of Russian aggression," he said.
