The Minister emphasised that 19 populated areas were in the controlled territory, and another 10 are in the temporarily occupied territory. Overall, the state has evacuated over 1560 people.
According to the department, the water level in Kherson rose by 1 metre overnight. It is expected to continue rising throughout the day. Nearly 1600 rescuers and police officers are working in the region, along with about 300 units of special equipment.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that two water intakes were destroyed in Kherson, 17 wells and 6 sewage pumping stations were flooded. Water is being pumped out from sites that ended up in the flood zone in the city.
