Russian mouth singers Grigory Leps, Nikolay Baskov and Yuri Antonov have promised to pay 1 million rubles to each person who shot down a Ukrainian tank in the war.

Source. The "people's artists" of Russia made this statement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, according to the Fontanka publication.

The initiative to pay the Russian military was put forward by the leader of the band Zemlyany, Vladimir Kiselev. Leps, Baskov, Yuri Antonov and TV presenter Yulia Baranovskaya supported the idea.

"We will award every Leopard and Abrams tank that we shoot down and conquer together with the Ministry of Defense," Kiselev announced.

"We, as representatives of creativity, are making our contribution for our soldiers. So that we know that they do it not only because it is their civic position. We are doing it because we want them to know that we are with them in their victory and in their success," Baskov said, adding that it was a joint decision of the Defense Ministry and the Russian Media Group.

"I agree with every word of what Baskov said. Everything that we can do for our Soviet army, [that is] for our Russian army, we will do with all our hearts," Leps said at the event.

Leps and Baskov traveled to Donbas not only to perform, but also to deliver humanitarian aid. The artists have also repeatedly spoken out in support of the goals of the special operation and the policies of the Russian authorities.
