Energoatom's corporatisation will be completed within a maximum of one year – Kotin
Following the registration of the joint-stock company, it will take another half a year to establish the supervisory board

NNEGC Energoatom plans to complete the corporatisation under an optimistic scenario in half a year, and under a pessimistic scenario – within a year.
This was stated by the company's president, Petro Kotin, in a comment to journalists, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
As Kotin points out, after registering the joint-stock company, the law provides six months to create a supervisory board.
"The corporatisation of Energoatom is progressing at quite a rapid pace. There are many processes happening now, particularly the main one – conducting an inventory of all assets and collecting creditors' claims. This is a complex procedure," said the company's president.
According to him, concerning the inventory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, data collected before the state of war will be used. Then, after the end of the war, there will be a recalculation.
Background. On February 6, the law No. 8067 on the corporatisation of the state enterprise NNEGC Energoatom was adopted.
This document establishes rules that regulate the process of creating a joint-stock company NNEGC Energoatom, which will continue to be fully owned by the state.
Several MPs were authors of the law. They pointed out that the company's corporatisation is necessary to ensure economic security and protect the interests of the state. The law sets restrictions related to the preservation of the state's corporate rights, the property of nuclear power plants, nuclear materials, and facilities designed for dealing with radioactive waste.
For reference. Energoatom is the largest electricity producer in Ukraine. The company operates four nuclear power plants: Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, South-Ukrainian, and Khmelnytskyi.
