Ukraine to receive 14 more Leopard 2 tanks from the Netherlands

Ukraine will receive 14 more Leopard 2 tanks from the Netherlands.
This is reported by the German publication Tagesschau, confirmed by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that the Netherlands ordered the respective equipment for Ukraine from the German defence company Rheinmetall. It is emphasised that the cost of such an order amounted to a 'three-digit number of millions of euros'.
According to the agreement, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive the first batch of tanks in January 2024, and the rest will be delivered throughout the same year.
Background. Previously, Mind reported that Rheinmetall would receive a multi-billion contract to supply munitions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first 35mm ammunition for the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun will be sent to Ukraine as early as July.
