The conglomerate Ukroboronprom has ceased operations and transformed into a joint-stock company
This happened within the corporatisation of the enterprise

The state conglomerate Ukroboronprom has been reorganised into the joint-stock company Ukrainian Defence Industry as part of its corporatisation.
This was reported by the press service of the newly formed JSC.
"The next step is the transfer of staff, property handover and further transformation processes. Next, the formation of a Supervisory Board in accordance with OECD standards," stated the Minister for Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin.
Background. By initiating the creation of a new joint-stock holding company with the functions of a conglomerate, the law removes such a company from the regulation of the Law of Ukraine On Holding Companies and grants it unique management functions and powers.
The conglomerate acquires ownership rights to the shares of corporatised state defence industry enterprises.
Recall: The day before, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the director of the Kharkiv Malyshev plant, Herman Smetanin, as the new head of the state conglomerate Ukroboronprom.
President Volodymyr Zelensky set Smetanin three main tasks at Ukroboronprom: to increase the production of all armaments, to rid the sector of corruption, and to complete the reform of the defence sector.
