Investigative Committee detains CEO of Rostec subsidiary in russia "Rostec's subsidiary, the Automatika concern, Andrei Motorko, in a fraud case. Earlier it became known that Automatika presented equipment purchased in China as its own invention.
Source. This was reported by russian media with reference to the Presnensky Court.
The IC demands that Motorko be arrested. Last week, Kommersant wrote that the Automatika concern, having received 300 million rubles in subsidies from the state for the development of satellite communications, passed off Chinese antenna systems as technologies of its own production. The Ministry of Industry and Trade discovered this during an inspection and has already filed a fraud complaint with the Investigative Committee.
The antennas were supposed to provide broadband access to satellite communications in cars, railroad trains, water and air transport. The systems were supposed to allow passengers to use high-speed Internet, including Wi-Fi, as well as access to various multimedia services (video conferencing, IP telephony, etc.).
In October 2021, Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec State Corporation, announced that a sample antenna, created with advanced technical solutions, is already undergoing trial operation on one of the passenger railcars.
Between 2021 and 2024, the concern was to receive another RUB 400 million in subsidies to create a line of antenna systems.
Background. As a reminder, China has changed its mind about building a new passenger airplane together with russia.
