The Armed Forces of Ukraine are successful in the Klishchivka area on the Bakhmut axis, as announced by the spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Andriy Kovaliov.
It is reported that both north and south of Bakhmut, Ukrainian forces continue to pressurise the enemy and are driving him out of previously seized positions. Heavy fighting is ongoing.
At the same time, Kovaliov emphasised that the russians were putting up strong resistance, deploying reserves and consequently suffering significant losses. Meanwhile, the defenders continue to restrain the advance of russian forces in the Lyman, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions.
Background. Mind previously reported that russia had refined its tactics, allowing them to slow down the Ukrainian counter-offensive. The occupiers are using significantly more mines than military doctrine allows.
