Ukrzaliznytsia registers new operator in the European market
Decision set to significantly improve freight transportation management on European routes

Ukrzaliznytsia has registered a new operator, Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland, for operation in the European market.
This was reported by the Ministry for Restoration.
The new operator will manage transportation within Ukraine and across European countries. Vice Prime Minister for Restoration, Oleksandr Kubrakov, emphasised that this would significantly improve the management of freight transport on European routes.
In the initial stages of its operation, Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland plans to:
- provide comprehensive freight transportation services;
- coordinate with European operators, freight owners, and border crossings;
- monitor the movement of the company's rolling stock abroad.
In addition, the Ministry for Restoration plans to modernise border infrastructure and increase its capacity. It is noted that the long-term strategy of the international department is in the final stages of development and is expected to be approved soon.
Background. Mind previously reported that the Ukrzaliznytsia application would automatically suggest routes with optimal transfer options. Furthermore, passengers will have the opportunity to change within the same train.
