Over the next 10 years, Ukraine will have to attract an additional 4.5 million workers to the labour market – Ministry of Economy

According to the Ministry of Economy, over the next ten years, Ukraine will have to attract an additional 4.5 million workers to the labour market.

As the country approaches a post-war era of societal rebuilding, the need for labour will only increase to meet the demands of economic recovery, the ministry says.

It is noted that even before the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine was facing a shortage of labour. But now, with more than 6 million Ukrainians forced to go abroad, the economic situation in the country has become even more critical.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the number of registered unemployed in Ukraine was decreasing due to changes in legislation.
