Parliament requests the NSDC to impose 10-year sanctions on sports representatives from russia and Belarus – Zhelezniak
The proposed list includes 36 individuals, notably Alexander Baraulia – Deputy Minister of Sports of Belarus

The Verkhovna Rada has recommended that the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) impose sanctions on 36 sports representatives from russia and Belarus. This includes both current and former athletes and representatives of sports departments, notably Alexander Baraulia – the Deputy Minister of Sports of Belarus. It is noted that the restrictions are to be applied for 10 years.
This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak.

In addition, the list includes heads of sports organisations, namely Vladimir Bazanov, Aliaksandr Bahdanovich, Irina Viner, Elena Vyalbe, Ilya Gerkus, Arkady Dvorkovich, Vladimir Yesheev, and others.
It is noted that the individuals are recommended to have their assets blocked, halt trade operations, resource transit, flights and transportations through Ukraine, cancel official visits, licenses and other permits, refuse to grant visas and revoke state awards of Ukraine.
Background. Mind previously reported that russian athletes would not participate in the Olympics on the grounds of neutrality and will challenge the "sanctions against russian sports".
