Britain has introduced new anti-russian sanctions in response to the forced deportation of Ukrainian children

The United Kingdom has implemented new anti-russian sanctions in response to the forced deportation of Ukrainian children.

This is stated on the official website of the UK government.

The sanctions target, in particular, the Child Rights Ombudsman of the moscow Oblast, Ksenia Mishonova, as well as the Minister of Education of the russian federation, Sergey Kravtsov. The sanctions also apply to russian propagandists. Among them is former Russia Today host Anton Krasovsky, who openly called for drowning and burning Ukrainian children on live television.

According to the UK government, more than 19,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly deported to russia or deeper into temporarily occupied territories. Many of the deported children are being relocated for "re-education" in Crimea, where they are subjected to a russian-oriented academic, cultural, patriotic, and military education.

In total, since the onset of the full-scale war, over 1,600 individuals and legal entities from the russian federation have fallen under UK sanctions, including 29 banks with global assets of £1 trillion (about $1.3 trillion) and over 130 oligarchs with a combined wealth of over £145 billion (almost $190 billion).

Background. Mind previously reported that Zelensky had imposed sanctions against 18 companies registered in Cyprus and the russian federation. The list included insurance companies from the Alpha-Group owned by Fridman and Aven.
