The Benelux countries will transfer M113 tracked armored personnel carriers to Ukraine

Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg (known as the Benelux countries) will provide Ukraine with M113 tracked armored personnel carriers.

Source. This is stated in a joint statement by the three countries' defense ministers.

"We reaffirm our unwavering determination to support Ukraine in response to Russia's unacceptable aggression," the statement reads.

The Benelux countries will allocate M113s from their industrial stocks and provide equipment repair. It is noted that the equipment will be provided upon request from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The armored personnel carriers are equipped with remote-controlled weapon systems and installations for 7.62 or 12.7 mm machine guns.

In addition, Ukraine will receive a package of spare parts.

The statement said that the equipment will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming months.

Background. In early July, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that "dozens" of German Leopard tanks would arrive in Ukraine in the coming days.
