According to updated information from the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odessa Oblast, a 61-year-old massage therapist-rehabilitator was killed in the explosion, and his 43-year-old client was injured. Law enforcement officers have initiated 2 proceedings.
Fragments of the ammunition were removed from the scene for further examination to identify its type. Meanwhile, the police continue to inspect the building where the explosion took place.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that the grenade exploded in the hands of the massage therapist-rehabilitator due to careless handling, who rented the premises.
It is clarified that he was killed, and his client received a barotrauma of a mild degree.
It is noted that bomb disposal experts are inspecting the scene, and the origin of the ammunition will be determined by the police during the pretrial investigation.
The ministry adds that the matter of entering information about the violation of the Criminal Code of Ukraine into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations is currently being resolved.
