During the summit in Granada, Spain, the main topic of discussion on the Russian war in Ukraine was the provision of air defense systems to Ukraine.
Source. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy told reporters in Granada on Thursday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"I am very pleased that we have made great progress in this direction today. These are six Hawk systems from Pedro Sanchez, from the Prime Minister, the Spanish government. And this will be a joint effort with partners, but under the Spanish chairmanship," he said.
"And we have a powerful decision at the meeting with Mr. Chancellor Scholz. The German government will work to provide Ukraine with another Patriot system. I believe that this is the only system today that can withstand such massacres," Zelensky said.
Background. As a reminder, speaking at the summit, Zelenskyy emphasized that if Russia is allowed to regain its strength, it will be able to attack other countries by 2028. According to intelligence, these are definitely the Baltic states and other countries where there are many Russian agents.
