"Today 208 people are leaving, tomorrow – 52. And we will form the next flight on October 18. These are all tickets purchased through the embassy," the ambassador explained.
He also clarified that the data on Ukrainians killed in Israel as a result of the terrorist attack has not changed. At the same time, the information that some citizens who are considered missing were taken prisoner by Hamas has not been confirmed.
The diplomat added that 240 Ukrainian citizens are waiting to be evacuated from Gaza. According to Korniychuk, they have not yet been evacuated due to the difficult and uncontrolled situation.
It is noted that Ukraine is one of the countries with the largest number of victims in Israel during the Hamas attack. The Ukrainian embassy explained that a significant number of Ukrainians killed in Israel may be due to the low price of real estate and rent in the areas that were the first to come under attack by militants.
As it has become known, 12 Ukrainian citizens were killed in Israel, and 8 Ukrainians are missing.
Also, 18 US citizens were killed in the Hamas attack, 21 people are missing; 13 French citizens were killed, 9 are missing; 8 Argentine citizens were killed, 19 are missing.
