Ukraine and Lithuania will now be able to exchange driver's licenses under a simplified procedure

Ukraine and Lithuania are starting to exchange driving licenses under a simplified procedure.

Source. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko on his Telegram channel.

From now on, Ukrainians in Lithuania can exchange driver's licenses under a simplified procedure. A Lithuanian license can be obtained without passing theoretical and practical exams.

The day before, the relevant agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania entered into force.

To use the service, you need to contact the branches of the State Enterprise REGITRA in Lithuania. And in Ukraine – to the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A similar procedure is already available for Lithuanian citizens residing in Ukraine, provided by the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"We have agreements on mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses under the simplified procedure with four other countries – Italy, Turkey, Spain and the UAE. We plan to continue to establish cooperation with foreign governments and expand this list. We strive to make the services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs accessible and comfortable for all our citizens, anywhere in the world," said Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

Background. In August, the government approved an agreement with Lithuania on the mutual recognition of driver's licenses.
