Israel is preparing to create a buffer zone in Gaza
The main goal is to prevent Hamas from amassing its forces near the border and taking Israel by surprise again

Israel has confirmed that it is planning to create a buffer zone in the Gaza Strip for security purposes. This prospect has raised doubts among the US leadership.
Source. The Times of Israel reports.
An Israeli official has confirmed the country's plans to create a buffer zone inside the Gaza Strip after the war. This is necessary for security reasons. The main goal is to prevent Hamas from concentrating its forces near the border and taking Israel by surprise again, the source emphasizes.
According to him, the Israeli military will not remain in the enclave.
Israeli media wrote about the idea to form a buffer zone in Gaza on Friday. The American side has probably been notified of the plans. US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Washington opposes this idea.
Reuters also reports that Israel has informed Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey of its intentions.
Israeli Prime Minister's Foreign Policy Advisor Ophir Falk said that the plan contains many details and is based on a "3-stage process" after the war. The stages include the destruction of Hamas, the demilitarization of Gaza and its deradicalization.
"A buffer zone could be part of the demilitarization process," Falk said.
Background. As reported, Israel used artificial intelligence "Gospel" to strike Hamas. According to the Israeli military, this reduces the number of civilian casualties, but not everyone agrees.
