British intelligence: Russian 104th Airborne Division has failed on the left bank of the Dnipro River
The division suffered extremely heavy losses and failed to fulfill its tasks

In early December 2023, the newly created 104th Guards Airborne Division of the Russian Army suffered extremely heavy losses and failed to fulfill its tasks in the Kherson region.
Source. This was reported by British military intelligence.
The operation took place after the division joined the Russian Dnipro group of troops and tried to take out a Ukrainian bridgehead near the village of Krynky on the eastern bank of the Dnipro, according to the British report.
The 104th Division was reportedly poorly supported by air and artillery, and many soldiers were likely inexperienced.
After the division's unsuccessful combat debut, Russian military bloggers called on the commander of the Dnipro group of troops, Colonel General Mikhail Teplinsky, to resign.
This is a blow to the reputation of Teplinsky, who, in addition to commanding the Dnipro Division, is the head of the airborne troops and is considered one of the most promising Russian commanders, according to British intelligence.
