Kyiv's public utility Kyivpastrans has decided to purchase 30 glass public transport stops "for passengers waiting for the air raid to be canceled."

The cost of purchasing and installing the stops will be UAH 8.37 million, and the auction for the purchase of the stops has already been held.
Its cost is UAH 8.37 million. The winner was MontazhBud 77. It is to install 30 pavilions by the end of December 2024. The contract has not yet been signed.
According to the documentation, these will be bus stops with a metal frame and glazing of the roof, back and side walls. Wooden benches will be placed inside the pavilions. 25 stops will be four meters long, and five more will be six meters long.
On social media, users express indignation at the expediency of such spending of budget money.
"This is so that you can watch the work of air defense while hiding in them."
"Let them put them up, but on the condition that all those involved are put in jail at those stops during the three-hour watch and air defense operation."
"It seems that they are not aware of missiles and blast waves, as if they live somewhere in Germany and hold tenders here," people write on social media.
"30 new glass bus shelters that don't protect much from rain and sun are a great solution in times of war. Of course, there is no tender for concrete shelters. The KCSA continues to live its best life," Kyiv City Council member Ksenia Semenova wrote on her Telegram page.
It is noted that such bus stops have been repeatedly vandalized. And according to media reports, in 2022, Kyivpastrans planned to spend UAH 31 million on the maintenance of bus stops in 2023.
