Alibaba, Microsoft, and others have invested $1 billion in Moonshot AI, a chatbot developer based on artificial intelligence.
According to sources, the valuation of the startup founded a year ago has increased to $2.5 billion.
Bloomberg reported that Alibaba, Tencent, and Microsoft have invested in artificial intelligence developer Moonshot AI, citing sources close to the deal.
Alibaba led the $1 billion funding round, and the valuation of the entire company has increased eightfold year-on-year to $2.5 billion.
Moonshot AI was founded in March 2023. It is one of the most famous startups in China developing generative artificial intelligence, the publication writes.
In November, the company introduced the Kimi chatbot and launched a platform for creating AI applications.
The website also states that the Moonshot AI team includes researchers who participated in the development of Google's Gemini and Bard, Meta's LLaMa model, and Stable Diffusion.
