The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine has received UAH 152 million from the state budget reserve fund to set up a system for blocking Russian TV and radio channels in the country's border areas.

The system will operate in nine regions: Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has announced.

According to the report, the project will help to oust the "Russian world" from the information space of Ukraine and reduce the influence of Russian propaganda on the Ukrainian population.
