Lukashenko spoils Putin's version that terrorists allegedly fled towards Ukraine after the attack on Crocus

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko has commented on the version voiced by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that the terrorists fled towards the Ukrainian border after the attack on the Crocus concert hall in the Moscow region.
"As soon as we received information from the special services that the car with the terrorists was heading towards Bryansk, we agreed that Belarus would block its section of the alleged route of the criminals, and the Russian side would block its own. They (the terrorists – ed.) saw this. Therefore, they turned around and went to the Ukrainian-Russian border," the dictator said.
Thus, Lukashenko questioned the Kremlin's unlikely version that the terrorists were moving towards a pre-opened "window" on the border with Ukraine, which is actively spread by Russian propaganda.
Background. The day before, Putin called Kyiv the "customer" of the attack in Crocus. However, Putin's claim that the terrorists were trying to escape to Ukraine was denied by the Belarusian ambassador.
