"Ramstein: allies discuss search for air defence systems for Ukraine
Since the beginning of the invasion, Ukraine has already received $95bn worth of weapons from Western allies
Ukraine's western allies, participating in the 22nd meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group, promise to focus on supplying Kyiv with air defence systems.

The meeting, which this time is being held online, is attended by the head of the Ukrainian defence ministry, Rustem Umerov, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, and representatives of about 50 countries that support Ukraine.
Opening the meeting, Austin said that since the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has already received $95 billion in military aid from its allies.
According to the US Secretary of Defence, Russian air attacks on Ukraine have become even more intense, so the issue of air defence has become particularly important.
"Air defence will be high on our agenda today," Austin said, "and I will call on all of our valued allies and partners to reassess our ability to provide Ukraine with the air defence capabilities it so urgently needs.
Since the beginning of the year, Kyiv has been asking its Western allies to provide it with more modern air defence systems, including the US Patriot system.
The Ukrainian government has stressed that Ukraine needs at least seven such systems to defend itself against air attacks.
However, the media reported only two additional systems: Germany agreed to provide one of them, and the United States may provide another, according to Bloomberg.
The agency's sources wrote that Ukraine's European allies are also working on plans to send additional air defence systems to Kyiv from their stockpiles.
