Spain to hand over new batch of Leopard tanks to Ukraine
Washington will soon send a new aid package to Ukraine, which will also include armoured vehicles

Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles said during a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine (in the Ramstein format) that Madrid would hand over another batch of Leopard tanks to Kyiv in June.

The newspaper said that Margarita Robles also promised to send Ukraine various ammunition and continue training the Ukrainian military.
Earlier this year, Germany announced its intention to supply Kyiv with more than 80 Leopard 1 A5 tanks.
During a meeting of the Ramstein Group held online, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin said that Washington would soon send Ukraine a new aid package, which would also include armoured vehicles. Austin did not specify what kind of vehicles he was talking about.
The Pentagon chief also said that Ukraine would receive additional ammunition for NASAMS and Patriot air defence systems, as well as new HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems.
Reportedly, at the meeting of the contact group this time, the priority issue was to provide Ukraine with additional air defence equipment, in particular, US Patriot systems.
