What happened. The USA are sending two “Patriot” AA (Anti-air) rocket batteries to Poland to prevent any potential threats to the US allies and NATO.

Source. This was announced by the representative of the European Command (EUCOM) of the US Armed Forces Adam Miller, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Details. “By the order of general Walter and the request of our Polish allies, the Commander-in-Chief of United States European command has given the US army a command to relocate two “Patriot” batteries to Poland” – stated he.

“This is a reasonable measure of protection for the forces that underpins our commitment to Article Five and will in no way support any offensive operations”, – Miller said.

The representative clarified that any measure that will be taken in the future “is aimed at deterring aggression reassuring our allies”.
