Mariupol reconstruction will cost at least $10 billion
Special deputy commission of the City Council conducts prior damage assessment

What happened. The special deputy commission of the Mariupol City Council performed a primary damage evaluation of the city's destruction, which had suffered from massive shelling and strikes by the Russian army. According to its calculations, the restoration will cost no less than $10 billion.

Details. According to him, $10 billion is a preliminary minimum estimate which may alter provided that damage brought upon by Russian aggression is documented.
Boychenko has stated that city authorities are working on a plan conjointly with the government and Donetsk military-civil administration. It is designed to obtain from Russia both reparations (for a complete restoration of Mariupol) and significant payments to all Mariupol residents for the suffering and damage caused.
