Victoria Nuland: “We need to be ready that putin can use tactical nuclear weapons”
She stated that Ukraine will not be left alone in such a situation

russian president putin has already shown great brutality during the military invasion of Ukraine, so we should be prepared for the fact that he can use weapons of mass destruction. This was stated by US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland in an interview for “Ukrainska Pravda”.
“We are dealing with putin, and given that vladimir putin has already committed awful, vicious, brutal war crimes, anything could happen. We should be ready that different kinds of catastrophic weaponry could be used,” she said, when being asked how likely it is that putin will use nuclear weapons.
“Right now, we – and not only the United States, but also other members of the transatlantic community – are very aggressively making putin aware that it would be catastrophic not just for Ukraine and the world. It would be absolutely catastrophic for him and for his russia too.”
“You can be sure that in such a catastrophic scenario we will not leave Ukraine alone.
And although we are talking about war crimes, which putin will be held accountable for, the use of catastrophic weapons would take this to a completely new level.
And we will ensure that he faces all the consequences,” Nuland said.
However, she did not go into details of these “consequences”.
“I can only assure you: even compared to the high losses, the high price that the current aggression has for russia – in this case, the price of putin's actions will be simply astronomical,” she said.
Previously. The possibility of striking the USA with a nuclear weapon was discussed on the federal channel in russia.
