The President of the European Council arrived in Odesa to celebrate Europe Day

What happened? The President of the European Council Charles Michel visited Odesa to celebrate Europe Day.

Details. The President of the European Council took a walk through Odesa and held a series of meetings with the Mayor Gennady Trukhanov, the Head of the Odesa Military Administration Maksym Marchenko and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“I came to celebrate Europe Day in Odesa, a city where Pushkin said “you can feel Europe”,” the European official wrote.
He noted that today the Ukrainian people are shielding their monuments from bullets and rockets and their freedom from russian aggression.
“You are not alone. The EU stands with you,” Michel said.
In the European Union and a number of countries, Europe Day is celebrated on May 9. In Ukraine, this holiday has been celebrated on the third Saturday of May since 2003.
Previously. Today in the Odesa region the enemy struck with four Oniks missiles which had been launched from Bastion-P DBK from the occupied Crimea.
