The idea of the project "Supernova. Art of Ukraine" is in the birth of the new from the old, since everything that is immersed into the nonlinear flow of time is constantly changing and being redefined. In response to the horrific events and extreme tragedies, supernova explodes – a star formed from our voices, our pain, and our courage. This phenomenon originates deeply within the bowels of luminaries, and then it breaks out illuminating all the objects on the skyline. Ukrainian society is now outliving a terrible trauma of the war and fighting for its independence. Nevertheless, many bright light rays emerge on this dark background. This is our dawn, and this is just the beginning.

The exhibition «Supernova. Art of Ukraine» includes three projects: «Unbreakable Wall»; «Bohemian Art Corner. Basel edition» and charity fundraising «Hands for Mother».

Viktor Sydorenko

As a part of the exhibition «Supernova. Art of Ukraine» the collective project «Unbreakable Wall» becomes a symbol of the cohesiveness of Ukrainian people. It will present monumental "mosaic", which unites over 250 artworks, created by more than 100 Ukrainian artists during the first two months of the war and printed on paper of A4 format. The collective expression of these artists merges into a single “Unbreakable wall”, into a single artistic shield.

“Bohemian Art Corner. Basel edition” presents art in the format of an art party – an exhibition of young artists with the usual attributes of a party where free communication with artists and curators is possible in an informal atmosphere. The project was established 2020 in Kyiv, Ukraine by Ukrainian curators Anna Avetova and Daria Bilenko. During these years there were held 12 editions. Every edition is unique, stylish, deeply art saturated. Bohemian Art Corner is always a discovering of young artists’ new names, new location for every edition, interesting collaborations, bohemian vibes. In every edition curators work with the context of the location and select authors whose art perfectly match with the context dictated by the location. More: @bohemian.art.corner
