What happened? In the Zaporizhzhia region an operation on transferring bodies of the fallen soldiers is taking place. Ukraine has returned the bodies of 35 defenders.

Details. The operation is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Reintegration, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Security Service of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

“The process of returning the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers continues. It is taking place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention,” the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reports.

Background. Earlier in the Zaporizhzhia region, another operation on exchanging the bodies of fallen servicemen took place, during which the bodies of 64 Azovstal defenders were returned.
