The occupiers shelled the ash disposal areas of the Zaporizhzhia TPP and raised clouds of radioactive dust
Ash waste has a high concentration of toxic substances and a radiation level which is at least 2.5 times higher than the natural radioactive background

What happened? Mortar strikes on the ash disposal areas of the Zaporizhzhia TPP have brought up clouds of radioactive dust, which are being spread by the wind around the outskirts of Energodar.
Source. The Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Details. “The ruscists are using a new method of creating the desired ‘image’ at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to manipulate public opinion and influence the world community,” the intelligence reports. According to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence, the occupiers are trying to present this data as “results of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
It is noted that the ash waste has a high concentration of toxic substances and a level of radiation which is at least 2.5 times higher than the natural radioactive background. When drying, it forms dust that can move over considerable distances.
Monitoring of the radioactive background, which is carried out near the nuclear plant, indicates an increase in the level of radiation.
