The deficit of the state budget of Ukraine in August remained at the level of UAH 5 billion – Ministry of Finance of Ukraine

What happened? The state budget of Ukraine for the eight months of 2022 was implemented with a deficit of UAH 416.9 billion, in particular, the general fund – UAH 418.1 billion, against the planned deficit in the amount of UAH 864.2 billion for this period.

Details. According to the report, in August the deficit of the state budget remained at a low level – UAH 5.4 billion.
In particular, the deficit of the general fund over the past month amounted to UAH 6.4 billion. “Such a small deficit is associated with a sharp increase in foreign grants, which, unlike loans, are classified as revenues of the state budget, and not financing its deficit,” the statement says.
It is noted that in August, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 109.7 billion of international aid (grants).
