What happened? The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated 150,000 residents of Kharkiv Oblast from the russian occupation.
Source. Hanna Maliar, the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
Details. Ukrainian defenders have de-occupied 3,800 square kilometers and more than 300 localities. However, the operation has not ended yet and will continue until the complete liberation of Kharkiv Oblast.
“This operation on liberation of Kharkiv Oblast has lasted several days. It was initially planned to last for several days, from September 6 to this day,” Ms. Maliar commented.
She added that during the temporary occupation, the russians deprived local residents of any communication and misinformed them. In particular, they said that Ukraine no longer existed, that the country already had another president. Residents were also forced to believe that no one would come to liberate them.
“We talked with local residents today. The resilience and spirit of Ukrainians are impressive because the russians deprived them of any communication here, and no one had the opportunity to find out what was happening in the Ukraine-controlled part,” the deputy minister added.
Previously. The Ukrainian military liberated Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast. Border guards have already removed russian symbols and propaganda posters.
