What happened? The parliament appointed Andriy Pyshnyi as the head of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Details. 290 deputies supported the relevant resolution. Mr. Pyshnyi himself was also present at the meeting. He noted that he considered all the decisions of the NBU made during the war to be adequate, namely the establishment of the discount rate at the level of 25% and the determination of the exchange rate.
The new head of the NBU also reported on the National Bank's gold and foreign exchange reserves – more than $24 billion of them have already been accumulated. Moreover, this indicator has been improving over the past week.
