What happened? After the largest attack on the Ukrainian energy sector on November 15, which affected all regions of Ukraine, the next few days will be difficult. Since weather is getting colder, electricity consumption is expected to increase, as well as the load on the grid.

Source. Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo NPC, on the air of the national TV marathon.

Details. “The most difficult situation is in the west of Ukraine, as well as in the central and northeastern oblasts. To stabilise the power system, Ukrenergo applied emergency outage schedules. This prevented a complete blackout of the country,” – the statement reads.

Ukrenergo urged to treat with understanding to the outages that will be implemented if necessary, as well as not to forget about the economical use of electricity.

It is noted that power engineers immediately began to restore power supply to consumers and damaged networks and power plants.

“We are ready to work around the clock to return the light that the ruscists are trying to take away from us,” Mr. Kudrytskyi assured.

He noted that Ukrainians should be prepared for significant disruptions in power supply and have the necessary stock of water, charged devices and power banks.
