Russia fired over 1000 missiles and shells at Ukrainian energy facilities
This is the largest attack on the energy system in the history of mankind

What happened? Russia fired more than 1000 missiles and shells at Ukrainian energy facilities.
Source. Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
Details. According to the head of the company, the state has lost 25-30% of consumption, which was before the full-scale invasion, but there is still a shortage of electricity in the system.
Mr. Kudrytskyi explains that the shortage of energy is most felt in the first 4 days after the attack, while the system restores the capacities of generating plants to produce electricity.
The Chairman of the Board adds that the company negotiates with hundreds of companies on all continents, but there are no such stocks of complex electrical equipment in the world that are needed to fully restore Ukraine's power system.
“We look forward to finalising a new agreement with the EBRD in the near future, and this agreement will strengthen our ability to purchase equipment at affordable prices,” Mr. Kudrytskyi points out.
The Ukrenergo representative stresses that the company is considering the possibility of covering the electricity deficit with the help of imports from Europe, but “it is necessary to develop a special mechanism to be ready to buy electricity at European prices”.
