Ministry of Finance: The state budget of Ukraine for 2022 was executed with a deficit of 911 billion UAH
In December, the deficit decreased to 99 billion UAH from 170 billion UAH in November

What happened? The deficit of the state budget of Ukraine in December decreased to 99 billion UAH from a record level of 170 billion UAH in November, including the general fund – from 163.3 billion UAH to 101.3 billion UAH. This is attributed to the receipt of grant funds.
Details. In total, the state budget of Ukraine for 2022 was executed with a deficit of 911.1 billion UAH, including the general fund – 909.5 billion UAH compared to the planned budget of 1.39 trillion UAH. According to the Ministry, actual state borrowings to the general fund of the state budget for 2022 amounted to 1.26 trillion UAH, or 67.3% of the planned volume of borrowing for this period. The placement of domestic government bonds attracted 666.9 billion UAH, including 103.9 billion UAH in foreign currency ($2.1 billion and EUR 980.6 million). Another UAH 400 billion of bonds were purchased by the National Bank.
Another 564.2 billion UAH was raised from external sources, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Cash expenditures of the state budget in 2022 amounted to 2.702 trillion UAH. In particular, for the general fund – 2.410 trillion UAH, which is 91.7% more than in 2021, but 7.8% less than anticipated in the budget plan.
