What happened? The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the programme of compensation to employers for the employment of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to 2023.

Details. The Government's decision provides for supplementing the financing mechanisms of the program, in particular, at the expense of the Compulsory State Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine in case of unemployment (within financial capabilities) and other sources not prohibited by law.
"The proposed changes will allow to continue in 2023 the implementation of this programme, which is in demand among employers. Last year, it was used by more than 10,000 entrepreneurs. They received compensation from the state totaling 200 million UAH for hiring almost 16,500 internally displaced persons," stated Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyrydenko.
The forecast expenditures of the Fund for 2023 amount to 308 million UAH with the forecast employment of 23,000 people.
It is noted that for each employed internally displaced person, the state pays compensation to the employer in the amount of the minimum wage (6,700 UAH) during 2 months.
