IAEA permanent mission started work at South Ukraine NPP
Agency inspectors will remain at the plant for continuous control and monitoring of nuclear and radiation safety

What happened? The team of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) headed by Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi arrived at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant site.

Details. The IAEA mission was accompanied by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko, President of Energoatom Petro Kotin, and Acting Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine Oleh Korikov.
During the raising of the IAEA flag over the plant site, Rafael Grossi noted the importance of the permanent mission of the Agency's inspectors. They will remain at South Ukraine NPP for continuous control and monitoring of nuclear and radiation safety.
