What happened? In 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia transported a record number of passengers in connection with the EU – about 1.4 million citizens. This is a record figure for the last 10 years.

"Apart from the evacuations, last year 1.4 million passengers were transported to the EU and back. This is almost 10 times more than in 2021," says Oleksandr Kamyshin, Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

The most popular international train is the one that runs on the Kyiv–Warsaw route. Every day, Ukrzaliznytsia receives more than 2,000 requests for tickets for this train in its online services, but its capacity is limited to 150 seats per flight.
