What happened? A significant cold snap has caused another increase in electricity consumption and power deficit.

Details. It is noted that the volume of electricity produced is insufficient to cover consumption in full. At the same time, electricity is being imported to Ukraine. Grid restrictions, however, remain in Odesa and Kyiv oblasts, as well as in Kyiv.
Ukrenergo reminds that due to a large-scale accident at the NPC substation, emergency power cuts continue in Odesa and the surrounding localities. Due to grid restrictions, emergency outages are also applied in Kyiv oblast, as well as in the capital.
UPDATED:
The Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) reported at 12:45 p.m. that emergency power cuts were introduced in the capital. The stabilisation outage schedules are not currently in effect.
At the same time, repairs are being carried out at the damaged power generation facilities in an intensified mode.
Previously. Mind reported that the electricity deficit had decreased due to increased production and imports. Two units of thermal power plants were returned to the grid after repairs.
