Details. In Odesa, due to damage to critical infrastructure, schedules of hourly power outages are in effect. They may also be introduced in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr oblasts, as well as in Kyiv due to the risk of overloading the Ukrainian power system.
However, despite consumption growing, there is no shortage of capacity in the power system. The available capacity is sufficient to cover the consumption needs. This was facilitated by the commissioning of additional power units at thermal power plants, as well as the floods, which led to an increase in hydroelectric power generation.
Increased daylight hours and clear weather contribute to generation from renewable energy sources. At the same time, electricity imports from Slovakia continue.
