NEURC presents drafts of a two-stage increase in electricity distribution tariffs for 2023

What happened? The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has presented drafts of a two-stage increase in electricity distribution tariffs for 6 oblast power distribution companies in the combat zone for 2023.

Source. The regulator's resolution.

Details. The decision applies to JSC DTEK Donetsk Power Grids, PJSC Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo, JSC Khersonoblenergo, LLC DTEK Power Grid, LLC Luhansk Energy Association, and SOE Regional Grids.

The first stage of the tariff increase is to start on April 1, and the second stage – on July 1 and will be valid until December 31 this year. In total, starting from July 1, tariffs for the six DSOs are expected to increase by 54.4-81.7% for the first voltage class and by 35.6-56.7% for the second.

The National Commission emphasises that the regulator has reviewed the costs of paying salaries, paying for electricity transmission and dispatching services of NPC Ukrenergo, purchasing electricity losses in the networks and electricity on the spot market.

However, the final decision to approve the tariffs will be made after receiving comments and suggestions to the draft decisions from all stakeholders.
